Drummond Woodsum Shepherds Stonewall Kitchen Through Closing of Investment by Centre Partners

For more than 15 years, Drummond Woodsum has served as the outside general counsel for Stonewall Kitchen, Maine’s premier specialty food brand, providing advice and assistance in corporate, litigation, employment, and intellectual property matters. When the company decided to offer Centre Partners, a leading private equity firm in the food and consumer products arena, an opportunity to make a significant investment in Stonewall Kitchen, Drummond Woodsum business attorneys Michael High, Christopher Dana, and Jeana McCormick were there to guide the process. The complex transaction, which closed on October 24, 2014, required significant efforts by Drummond Woodsum to ensure that the Company was best prepared for the next stage in the growth of its brand for a national and international market.

Founded in 1991 by Jonathan King and Jim Stott, Stonewall Kitchen has grown beyond its York, Maine headquarters to operate 11 stores and employ more than 300 people full time.
