Before joining Drummond Woodsum, Laura worked as a staff attorney at the Oakland Unified School District where she advised clients across the district – from board members to principals to school nurses. She also worked as a school law consultant for the California School Boards Association and a litigation associate at a California law firm. In addition, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable William Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Before law school, Laura worked in education, first as a teacher and later as an editor of online courses for teachers.
Laura received an undergraduate degree from Princeton University, a Master of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a J.D. from the UC Davis School of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif.
