Parke is a member of Drummond Woodsum’s Trust and Estate Planning Group, working with individuals and families to draft wills and trust instruments, develop estate plans, and administer estates. He also works with businesses, particularly smaller businesses and family-owned entities, assisting them with a range of needs. He has been recognized by New England Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for his work in these areas.

In his trust and estate practice, Parke works closely with clients to truly understand their most important objectives and concerns. He prepares wills, trust instruments, powers of attorney, health care directives, intra-family agreements, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, guardianship and conservatorship documents, and all types of related documents. When a friend or loved one passes away, Parke assists clients through all aspects of the probate process.

Prior to joining Drummond Woodsum, Parke built a successful boutique law practice in Portland’s Old Port focused on estate planning and small business matters. He is a former Harvard Mediation Program mediator, and credits his mediation experience for helping him hone critical communication and conflict resolution skills. Parke uses these skills, and his ability to connect with clients on a deeply personal level, to help families avoid the types of conflicts that can emerge in the context of estates, and to help resolve disagreements when they do arise.

Parke graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law, where he served as a Teaching Fellow for the Property and Contracts courses. He was also an editor of the Ocean and Coastal Law Review. He currently serves as Secretary of the Maine State Bar Association’s Mediation Section, volunteers for the Maine Women’s Fund Marketing Committee, and is a Board Member of Portland Ballet.
