Elizabeth Mooney is a member of Drummond Woodsum’s Higher Education and Trial Services groups. She has a wide-ranging practice counseling institutions of higher education and litigating in state and federal courts on behalf of businesses and individuals. Elizabeth has extensive experience handling high-profile, complex matters, and she has managed cases from inception through discovery, summary judgment, and trial.
Prior to joining Drummond Woodsum, Elizabeth spent ten years as a litigator at WilmerHale in Boston, MA, where she represented Harvard College in a case challenging its use of race in the undergraduate admissions process, ultimately securing judgment for Harvard on all counts following a three-week bench trial in the District of Massachusetts. While at WilmerHale, Elizabeth also represented a host of businesses and individuals in civil litigation before federal and state courts, conducted investigations on behalf of medical device manufacturers responding to government subpoenas relating to the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute, counseled major car manufacturers in connection with disputes with state lawmakers and franchisees, and represented survivors of domestic violence on a pro bono basis.
