Chris Hatch is a member of the Business Services and Real Estate practice groups where he focuses his practice on commercial real estate, land use, and project development matters.
Chris works with developers, lenders, buyers and sellers of commercial real estate, commercial landlords and tenants – diligently protecting their interests and helping them achieve their goals. He is skilled at drafting purchase and sale agreements, drafting commercial real estate financing documents, resolving complex title issues, and drafting and negotiating commercial leases.
Chris takes a proactive approach in his practice and enjoys seeing a deal through from inception to the closing table and pulling together the many moving parts to get there. Some recent examples of his work include assisting clients in purchasing gas stations, leasing retail space, and financing the purchase of large timberland tracts.
Prior to Drummond Woodsum, Chris began his career as a litigator at a firm in Virginia and then returned to Maine in 2017 when he shifted his practice to commercial real estate and joined a Bangor law firm. Chris graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in management and received a law degree from the University of Connecticut where he was articles editor of the Connecticut Law Review. While in law school, Chris was a judicial intern for United States Magistrate Judge Kenneth S. McHargh in the Northern District of Ohio.
