Pete Klein is a member of Drummond Woodsum's Business Services Group, focusing his practice on commercial finance and real estate development transactions. Pete has extensive experience in representing Maine and New Hampshire buyers, sellers, lenders and borrowers in a wide range of financial transactions including development projects which utilize historic tax credits and low income housing tax credits as sources of funding. He also regularly represents real estate developers with the legal aspects of development, from the acquisition of real estate, to leasing, to the permitting and financing of development and construction projects.
After graduating from law school, Pete worked for a large Maine law firm where he represented creditors and debtors in bankruptcy proceedings, experience which developed in him an appreciation of the potential outcomes for commercial transactions. Because of this work, Pete gained a unique perspective that benefits his clients as they work with banks on troubled loans or relationships. Since 2006, his practice has been primarily focused on representing parties to commercial finance transactions.
Pete has been named a rising star by New England Super Lawyers in the area of Banking Law.
