Alix Caulfield, widely regarded as one of the finest commercial finance transactional lawyers in the state of Maine, joined Drummond Woodsum in 2012 after practicing for over 20 years in Northern New England. She has extensive experience in commercial loan transactions, representing a wide range of financial institution clients in a broad spectrum of financing transactions, including commercial real estate, construction and financings for operating businesses, financing of mergers and acquisitions and purchase of significant assets by businesses. She has been involved in many significant financing transactions occurring in the state of Maine over the past several years, and has also handled transactions in Massachusetts and in New Hampshire.

Alix is one of a very small group of attorneys certified by the US Small Business Administration to handle SBA 504 closing transactions for Community Development Company (CDC) Lenders in Maine and Massachusetts, and has extensive experience closing various types of SBA loan transactions for CDC’s and lenders.

In addition to representing state and national lenders, Alix represents a number of business interests in corporate, business and real estate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, real estate development and financing matters.
