Ann Chapman is a non-lawyer consultant who joined Drummond Woodsum in 1999. Ann consults on a broad range of human resources and employment issues, personnel policies/procedures, HR audits, compensation studies, labor negotiations and contract analysis for public and private sector clients of all sizes. Ann also regularly conducts investigations of all types for employers, schools and Indian tribes/enterprises, including employee and student misconduct; harassment and discrimination complaints; and sexual assault complaints in post-secondary institutions. She regularly conducts management and employee trainings, as well as webinars and workshops on human resources, employment and investigation issues across the country. Ann is also an author and editor of numerous books and articles on employment and policy topics.
Before joining the firm, Ann served as a policy and resources specialist for Maine School Management Association, and in that role she provided policy consulting, writing and workshop assistance for school systems throughout Maine. Her professional background includes extensive experience in market research, technical writing and editing. Ann also served on the Cape Elizabeth School Board for six years, with two years as Board Chair.
