While the coronavirus pandemic continues, employers, including local governments, are continuing to receive requests from employees for workplace accommodations and/or leaves of absence. In light of COVID-19, the analysis of these questions has only become more complicated because they require employers to comply with a variety of pre-existing, and new, federal leave and anti-discrimination laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, and leave laws created by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
During this 1 ½ - hour program, we will provide an organizational strategy to guide employers in responding to employee requests for leave and requests for reasonable accommodations. Additionally, attendees will receive a written memorandum providing a detailed road map of our recommended analytical process.
