MATT SERGE AND KERIANN ROMAN LECTURED ON THE NEW ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT LAW AT THE 23RD ANNUAL SPRING ZONING AND PLANNING CONFERENCE
June 16, 2017
Drummond Woodsum attorneys Matt Serge and Keriann Roman presented at the 23rd Annual Spring Zoning and Planning Conference Hosted by the New Hampshire Office of Energy and Planning. In their presentation, The New Accessory Dwellings Law: How Are Municipalities Responding, Serge and Roman covered many of the complexities of this new law and offered practical guidance to help municipalities become ready to implement the new rules.
New Hampshire's new Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) law became effective on June 1, 2017, and many municipalities have adopted new ordinances or amended existing zoning to come into compliance with the new statutes. But many questions persist about short-term rentals, septic load requirements, condominium conveyance, and other issues.
