The Employment & Labor Group at Drummond Woodsum invites you to its quarterly complimentary Human Resource get-together. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), nearly 2 million American workers report having been victims of workplace violence each year. These incidents may be perpetrated by employees, former employees, or non-employees who come into the workplace.  While employers cannot always prevent workplace violence, they can take practical steps to minimize risk and create a plan in the event an incident does occur.  This is a can’t miss program!
Topics will include:

  • Workplace Violence Policies
  • Possession of Weapons Policies
  • Handling Difficult Terminations
  • Employee Concerns about Co-Workers
  • Threats of Violence – Written or Verbal
  • Physical Security Measures
  • Duty to Keep Employees (and others) Safe

Please forward any questions you may have on this topic to Donna Swiderek dswiderek@dwmlaw.com by June 5, 2018. These questions and others that arise will be addressed during the program.

We usually have a full house, so the earlier you can let us know the better. We look forward to seeing you.

For your convenience we are offering this program in Maine and New Hampshire.
